Lynn Valley Days celebration kicks off with a pancake breakfast at 7am at Lynn Valley Park. Followed by a parade and a full day of entertainment and family activities.

The parade starts at 10:00AM. Stake out your spot along the route from Karen Magnussen Arena, along Lynn Valley Road to Mountain Highway. The parade ends at Lynn Valley Park, where the celebrations continue. There will be a full day of entrainment and family fun, including a car show, games, rides and races.

Cost: $80 each or $800 for table of 10

To reserve your tickets, please email president@lvca.ca. Payment can be made by cheque payable to Lynn Valley Days and should be dropped off at Mollie Nye House.

Dear Editor

I would like to congratulate a remarkable group of individuals, associations and local merchants in Lynn Valley who worked alongside the Lynn Valley Community Association to create a “Lynn Valley Christmas” This month long festival was enjoyed by the the whole community and also benefited those in need in our community through donations to the Lynn Valley Lions hamper fund.

Thank you to the volunteers from Lynn Valley Community Association, Lynn Valley Lions, Lynn Valley Legion, Argyle School football team and the Lynn Valley Village Merchants Association whose efforts reflect an unrivaled sense of pride and community spirit which make Lynn Valley the best place to live.

Our efforts do not stop after Christmas; Lynn Valley Community Association works hard throughout the year to create community spirit in every season. In the spring LVCA will be working with Lynn Valley Seniors Association on our annual park clean up project and with the Lynn Valley Lions to bring you another spectacular Lynn Valley Days Weekend.

We are proud to be “The Bridge of our community” and believe that building community spirit is simply enlightened self interest. We would love to have you join us

A Lynn Valley Christmas 2012

Last year our president Eric asked me if there was something we could do with the lions around the Christmas Trees. On a very short timeline we came up with and had 40 Christmas trees adopted and decorated by local merchants and organizations. The trees were put up in Lynn Valley Village and they where a big hit.

Now that we have had a year to plan we will have a much bigger event this year. We plan to have up to 70 trees, Christmas music and a covered stage. We will be having the 12 days of Christmas starting Dec 12 and the finale will be on Dec 23rd. Each night there will be live entertainment on the stage from 6-8 pm and on the 23rd we will have a local church choir leading us all in some Carols. We are also expecting an appearance from a very special guest. The Mayor will be flipping the switch to light up all the trees on Sunday Dec 2 at 5pm so make sure you mark your calendars as you don’t want to miss it.
