The Lynn Valley Community Association and Lynn Valley Seniors Association are working together with DNV Parks on the Lynn Valley Park Project and we need YOU!
Continue readingWith the extended display of trees into the plaza at Lynn Valley Centre, there were two places that collected votes so it took a bit of time to gather everything and tally up the votes.
We know you’ve been waiting for the results and here they are . . .
Continue readingA huge WELCOME! to our newest members of the Lynn Valley Community Association! We are delighted to have you among us.
On behalf of all the members and the Board, we would like to extend our warmest welcome and good wishes!
Continue readingLike most events, there are many ‘to-do’s on the list to make it a success and it’s with the help of time, energy and funds from our Event Partners that we’ve done it again.

A huge shout out and thank you to:
Continue readingIt’s official – we’re a sell out!
We are so excited to tell you that we’ve done it again and SOLD OUT of our available trees for this year!
And we couldn’t have done it without your sponsorship. With everything still in a cautionary holding pattern right now including our Lighting Ceremony, (maybe next year!) we weren’t sure what to expect but all of you rose to the occasion and we will have an amazing display that’s going to spread some Christmas Magic and hopefully bring a smile in a otherwise challenging time.
Continue readingPlease join us for TWO Annual General Meetings on Thursday November 4th at 7pm via Zoom.
Our 2019/20 AGM was postponed due to COVID and the recommendations of the Vancouver Health Authority. We had hoped to meet in person however that was put on hold with subsequent ‘waves’ and our concern for the safety of our members and community.
Continue readingYou may have spotted some beautiful new street banners in and around our Town Centre.
LVCA spearheaded the project to replace the old faded and torn banners that had seen better days. Three local artists Vicki English, Dana Irving and Duane Murrin were invited to submit their designs for consideration in the creation of the new banners.
Choosing a design was tough, but after much consideration and deliberation, the LVCA Board chose long time Lynn Valley resident Duane Murrin’s submission. His bold and colourful designs stand out on even the greyest of days and remind us how lucky we are to be living in Lynn Valley: a stunning “Gateway to Nature”.
We are grateful to the District of North Vancouver who provided funding for the new banners through a Community Building Grant.

Well, the pandemic made things challenging last year, but with help of volunteers, some creative thinking and the support from our community, we were able to install eighty (yes, 80!) decorated Christmas trees for the 10th Annual Parade of Trees in December 2020.
Lynn Valley Village was once again transformed into an illuminated forest of beautifully decorated trees and for the first time, we expanded onto the new plaza in front of Starbucks at Lynn Valley Centre where decorated trees added that touch of Christmas spirit.
We are very grateful to all the businesses, clubs, churches, organizations, families, individuals and schools who continue to support this event and bring a little magic to our community each year.
VOLUNTEERS!
We’re looking for members in our community who have an hour or two to give in helping setup and take down. If this is you, or you’d like more information, contact us at info@lvca.ca with the subject line “Tree Volunteer”
