|As you are no doubt aware, COVID-19 is a topic currently impacting us all in one way or another. Protecting our community is a shared responsibility at a time like this. While the threat to British Columbians remains low, the very idea of an outbreak can feel stressful. |
Consulting a reliable source of information can be re-assuring, and we recommend you stay up-to-date with the latest news from Vancouver Coastal Health.
VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation has suggested some things you can do to support the well-being of yourself and others during this time:
Fear and anxiety about a disease may feel overwhelming at times. By trusting the facts, sticking with the latest protocols, looking out for one another, and practicing good mental health habits, we can protect ourselves and our communities. Take care of yourself and others.
On April 25th, the Lynn Valley Community Association and Lynn Valley Seniors Association were planning to work together on the 2020 Lynn Valley Park Project.
With the recommendation of physical distancing and for the safety of all involved, we have had to cancel the yearly event.
But keep it in mind! We’re planning to be back next spring and we’d like you to join us! Below is a description of what happens at our Park Projects….
“The work will be basic gardening, removing invasive plants, planting natural vegetation, laying down mulch, cleaning litter and anything else that needs to be done with the support of the DNV Parks Department.
We have work for every level of physical ability so all ages and stages are welcome. Dress for the weather, as this is a rain-or-shine event! Sturdy boots or shoes, working clothes and gloves are recommended, as it could be muddy! if we are blessed with sunshine, remember the hats and sunscreen. Look for our LVCA tent to check in. *You will need to bring your own water bottle.”
