Gillian Konst / President
Gillian has lived, worked, played and volunteered in Lynn Valley for more than 30 years,
together with her husband and two now grown up sons. Along the way she has volunteered
with Cubs, Schools, the Library, Flower Clubs and numerous sports teams. She enjoys
working on the numerous community events presented by LVCA and building Community
Spirit is her passion.
Lyle Craver / Vice President
Lyle has lived in Lynn Valley for 30+ years and on the North Shore since 1958. He joined LVCA in order to keep on top of community issues, and has a keen interest in District Council planning and management. He has served on the following DNV appointed advisory committees: Alpine Reference Recreation Group, Citizens' Budget and Finance, Community Services Advisory Committee. Lyle is also Secretary of The Chess Federation of Canada and former head of North Shore Toastmasters. Lyle is LVCA’s observer at Council.
Shannon Epp / Treasurer
Shannon has lived in Lynn Valley since 2004 and works in the community for the local RBC Royal Bank as a Financial Planner. She and her husband did the Ascent for Alzheimer’s in 2008 when they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. They enjoy hiking and biking the local trails.
Marilyn Harkness / Secretary
Marilyn has lived in Lynn Valley going on 49 years. She has been a member of the Lynn Valley Community Association for most of these many years. (Joined during the “Save Lynn Canyon Park” campaign in the 1970’s.) She is a retired Legal Assistant. She is interested in all aspects of life in “Lynn Valley” and in assisting in fulfilling the four basic purposes of the Society as stated in its Constitution.
Tim Green / Director at Large
Tim moved to Lynn Valley in 1967, and has been playing in the local forests and creeks ever since! He lives with his wonderful wife and daughters, and has been working in the IT industry for the past 40 years. An avid canoeist and hiker, Tim can usually be found most weekends hiking in Lynn Canyon or Lynn Headwaters. He is an active member of the North Shore Streamkeepers, spending time each week at a local salmon hatchery and checking the fish ladders on Hastings Creek. Tim first joined the LVCA in 2009; he also volunteers at Mollie Nye House and previously was a volunteer with the RCMP Community Policing.
Gabriel Mazoret / Director at Large
Gabriel emigrated from France in 1970 and has lived in Lynn Valley since 1987. As a hiker and hike leader, he is very interested in wilderness and park recreation and has been on a variety of committees to support those interests. Gabriel's former roles have included Chairperson of the North Van Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee and Commissioner of the North Van Recreation Commission. As a member of the Lynn Headwaters/Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve Advisory Committee (Metro Vancouver), he participated in the creation of these two regional parks. More recently he was on the DNV Parks and Natural Environment Advisory Committee.
