This year’s Parade of Trees was a fabulous success – thanks to YOU! We sold out!
We sold a record number of trees this year, exceeding our expectations and raising $3000.00 for the North Shore Disability Resource Centre.
In addition, we collected for the Lynn Valley Legion’s Toy Drive and of course, put our order in for perfect weather for our Lighting Ceremony. *smile*
The Tree Lighting Ceremony was an incredibly fun family oriented event with live music by The Heels, face painting and of course, the children put their creative skills to work to make beautiful lanterns to walk in the parade that wound through the urban forest, lighting the way as we counted down to the magical moment.
Mistress of Ceremonies, Cathy Kuzel, President of The Connected Woman Association kept things running smoothly and was joined by DNV Mayor Mike Little, North Vancouver-Seymour MLA Jane Thornthwaite and DNV Councillor Jordan Back when it came time to hit the big button to light up the Village.
A special thank you to Stefanie Donohoe for her dedication, tireless energy and incredible positive energy for making it all come together. We love you! (special mention to Jeff Donohoe for his patience and understanding!)
Our Winning Trees
