On May 4th, the Lynn Valley Community Association and Lynn Valley Seniors Association are working together on the 2019 Annual Lynn Valley Park Project and we need YOU!
This year’s community project is in an area of Kirkstone Park between the playing fields and Karen Magnussen Recreation Centre.
Our focus will be on restoring a section of the park just west of the playing fields. The work will be basic gardening, removing invasive plants, planting natural vegetation, laying down mulch, cleaning litter and anything else that needs to be done with the support of the DNV Parks Department.
The Park Project will take place on:
• Saturday, May 4, 2019
• 9:00 am to noon (come for all or part)
Do join us for this fun and productive day. We have work for every level of physical ability so all ages and stages are welcome. Dress for the weather, as this is a rain-or-shine event! Sturdy boots or shoes, working clothes and gloves are recommended. If we are blessed with sunshine – remember the sunscreen!
Coffee, cream, sugar and cups have been generously provided by WAVES Coffee House in Lynn Valley but you need to bring your own water bottle.

Park in the parking lot off Kirkstone Road and find our LVCA tent on the west side by the hockey court. (and mind the 30kmh!)
