You + 1 Tree Sponsors – Our 2025 Shining Stars!

This incredible group of Shining Stars chose to make an even bigger impact and spread twice as much cheer by being a “You + 1” tree sponsor.

The You + One sponsorship level includes two (2) trees – one for the sponsor and one to be ‘gifted’ to a local elementary school or non-profit to decorate.

As with all the tree sponsorships, it includes a donation to this year’s beneficiary: the new Emergency Relief Fund created by the DNV Firefighters Charity Fund in partnership with the North Shore Community Foundation and Family Services of the North Shore. Spurred by the Silverlynn tragedy, the fund is designed to complement the already outstanding support provided by North Shore Emergency Management, ensuring residents receive timely and compassionate assistance in the aftermath of an emergency, Your generosity will help provide quick and compassionate response when residents of the North Shore need help the most.

Enjoy FREE family fun and meet the people in your Lynn Valley neighbourhood!

Families are invited to attend this outdoor event at Lynn Valley Plaza on September 6th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM where you can enjoy free games and activities!

Completed 50 days of reading for the Summer Reading Club? Come and celebrate your achievement at the library with a special medal presentation at noon!

There’s nothing like the joy of spring, the sound of laughter, and the thrill of spotting that first hidden egg.

Hop on over to our Eggs-cellent Easter Event, where everyone’s invited to enjoy the spirit of the season and festive fun.

Join us for an egg-stra special day of Easter arts and crafts — get creative, get messy, and go home with a masterpiece made by YOU!

Snap some egg-cellent pics at our festive photo moments and let your creativity shine.

Our egg hunt will have every-bunny shouting, laughing, and soaking up that springtime cheer!

The 2024 Parade of Trees Winner is …

With the last ornament packed away. lights wrapped, carpets rolled up and the stands and sand bags tucked away for another year, we finally get down to the challenging task of counting the online ballots and announcing a winners for the People’s Choice Tree, Best School Tree and the Organizer’s Choice Tree. It took a bit of time to sort through the votes and tally up.

We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting the results so without further ado, here they are . . . *drumroll please*

PARADE OF TREES LIGHTING CEREMONY

December 4th from 4:00-5:00PM in Lynn Valley Village

We are so excited to once again kick off this fabulous event with our outdoor lighting ceremony in the Village! We’ve missed it these past couple years so it’s really wonderful to have it back.

Join us at the lighting ceremony for the Parade of Trees on December 4th from 4 – 5 pm, with the lighting at 4:45 pm, with Mayor Mike Little and MLA Susie Chant.

There will be face painting, balloon twisting, a scavenger hunt for the kid and musical entertainment from the Black Bear Band.

Pssst! Also, a surprise finale after the lighting so stick around!

NVRC’s Lantern parade will be at 4:25 pm.

The event is outdoor only and put on with support from North Vancouver Recreation & Culture, Lynn Valley Village, Lynn Valley Centre, Twin Lions Contracting Ltd., Rona, North Vancouver District and the The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd.

Proceeds from this year’s Parade of Trees will go to the Harvest Project.

It’s coming! The Lynn Valley Community Association 2022 Parade of Trees!

It’s been challenging these last couple of years, but with the help of volunteers, some creative thinking and the support from our community, we were able to install eighty (yes, 80!) decorated Christmas trees for a sell-out Annual Parade of Trees for both 2020 and 2021.  We’re planning to sell out again this year!

Psssst! And our Tree Lighting Ceremony is back as well!

It’s a new year and we’re working to make it as special as always.

Lynn Valley Village and the Lynn Valley Centre Plaza will once again be transformed into an illuminated forest of beautifully decorated trees adding that touch of Christmas spirit.

We are very grateful to all the businesses, clubs, churches, organizations, families, individuals and schools who continue to support this event and bring a little magic to our community each year.
